BFA Have a New Singing Group ‘Count Us In’

BFA member John Stevens and his wife Sally, with the permission of the Bishop at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Bridlington, have set up a brand-new Singing Group for BFA in a fantastic acoustic space.

John is a great Group Facilitator, warm and friendly, with vast musical skills and leadership. The Singing Group are also being supported by our Musical Keyboard Group Leaders Jakey and Billy who will provide accompanist support, when possible, with John also tinkling the ivories himself.

John’s welcoming nature makes transition into the group easy. He is a great Musical Director, focusing on balance, tone quality and the blend. Blending into a Singing Group is key to getting a unified sound.

They say a Singing Group is only as good as its worst singers but we say everyone can sing and given time, everyone in the BFA Singing Group can get to the same high standard.

What makes a good BFA Singing Group Member?

  • A love of Music, Songs & Hymns
  • Good Time Keeping
  • Commitment
  • Attention & Listening Skills
  • Shows Consideration for Others
  • Friendly Nature
  • Willing to Learn
